The Texas Workforce Commission Emergency Medical Response Service Staffing Program awards grants to DSHS-licensed EMS providers so those firms can fund scholarships for people pursuing EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, or paramedic certification. TWC does not pay a school or a walk-in candidate directly. The official program page, not the TWC homepage, lists the current window, the application email, and the FAQ. As of 13 August 2026 that page lists applications from 1 June 2026 through 31 July 2026. TWC's FAQ (last modified 2 March 2026) also publishes a rolling schedule with later open windows, including 1 December 2026 through 31 January 2027.
