What you will learn
EMT-Basic
BLS-level care. The standard entry-level EMS credential most Texas fire departments require at hire.
Advanced EMT (AEMT)
BLS plus a limited set of ALS skills (IVs, select medications). A bridge between EMT and Paramedic.
EMT-Paramedic
Full ALS scope: medications, advanced airway, cardiac monitoring, 12-lead interpretation. Highest pre-hospital provider level.
