TEEX Online Fire and Public Safety Courses
Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service online catalog, including TCFP-credit and federally funded courses.
About This Resource
The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) operates one of the largest emergency services training programs in the country. Their online catalog runs 24/7 and includes TCFP-approved continuing education, hazmat awareness and operations, communications, school safety, WMD/terrorism response, and law enforcement courses. Many courses are federally funded and free. TEEX also runs the Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station, the largest dedicated firefighter training facility in the United States, and partners with Blinn College on a hybrid Fire Academy: 12 weeks of online classroom plus 4 weeks of in-person hands-on training. The hybrid format is the cleanest path for working candidates who need to keep a day job through most of training.
How to Use This Resource
Visit teex.org/program/online to browse the full course catalog. Filter by topic (fire, hazmat, communications) and by funding type (free vs paid). If you are pursuing the hybrid academy path with Blinn, register for the next cohort start date and plan your work schedule around the 4-week in-person block at Brayton. Document every TEEX course completion and add it to your application packet.
