How to read the map
Denton's growth runs south and west along I-35, and the newer stations follow it: Station 7 in 2007, Station 8 in 2021, Station 9 in 2024. The city's Fire Department page counts the opening of Station 9 among the department's recent milestones alongside the ISO Class 1 rating effective October 1, 2025.
Battalion supervision is split. Station 3's build includes quarters for a second battalion chief covering the west side, which tells you the department runs two battalions on shift rather than one.
For a candidate
Station assignment is not something you choose at hire, and this page does not suggest otherwise. What the list is useful for is scale: nine houses, a training facility on the Station 7 site, and a department whose newest three stations opened in the last two decades of a 150-year history.
